Wow

Yesterday was an amazing day! Because of my new flexible job, I was able to attend an event that only BeautiControl offers us. I witnessed my dear friend Amy Scott receive her new Ford Mustang! It was absolutely gorgeous and I'm so glad I was there for the event. What an amazing company we have! Here's a few pictures from yesterday:

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is a day when we all reflect on the love we have in our lives and give thanks to the people who mean the most to us. I am one of the lucky ones. My dearest Donald is just the sweetest man. This morning I wandered in to the kitchen to fix my breakfast and found a cute card and a box of Milk Duds. Does my man know me or what? Valentines Day in the Brown home is usually a quiet one. We typically cook dinner and just hang out at home.

My mother-in-law stopped by this morning and brought our V-day gifts over. She brought me a Malco movie gift certificate and a box of Milk Duds. I guess she knows me too! I just checked out my girlfriend Emily's blog regarding the progress of her son and he's coming home tomorrow. So all in all, it's been a good day.

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you. Go tell all your loved ones how much you love and appreciate them!

Love, Hugs and Kisses,

Elizabeth

The fun stuff!

We're over with the sad stuff. Let's move on to the fun stuff like my trip to New York City! We had an amazing time. I've included a link to my pictures below. I captured almost every moment except for our visit to the Montel Williams show. We were not allowed to take pics there. But it was a blast and the topic that day was about teenagers becoming Millionaires! How cool is that? All of the guests on the show were entrepreneurs. It was very inspiring! We're not sure when it'll air, so you'll have to check the site on Monday to find out - http://www.montelshow.com/.

Here's my pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as I had taking them! http://picasaweb.google.com/elizabeth.brown33/NewYorkCity

Yesterday was a sad day

As many of you know, yesterday was a sad day for me. My boss brought me in to his office to tell me that it was time for us to part. I was shocked and taken by surprise but accepted it for what it was. Our business has been slow and I had not had a lot of work to do in the past 6 weeks or so. So it happened, I am jobless. I was sad and angry all at once. I continued my little pity party until about 7pm last night. Then I put on my big girl panties and moved on!
I got up this morning and listened to a few Office Spa conference calls. You see, in our network of BeautiControl, we have 2 conference calls a week and then we record each one. So it's like mini-meetings that we can refer back to any time we choose! I have many home spas on my calendar for February but no Office Spas because I've worked during the day until now. So I'm refreshing myself with new information and will hit the streets next week looking for spas. There is so much business out there for me to get and I'm going for it!
My friend Brian sent me this quote yesterday which was quite fitting:

"I am more and more convinced that our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves."

Karl Wilhelm Von Humboldt
1767-1835, German Statesman

Go out today and make it a great one. There's lots of joy in the world for us to experience!
